The Iowa Library for the Blind and Print Disabled is thrilled to welcome our next guest in our youth programming Thrive Thursday: Career Labs series! The series is a hybrid, hands-on experience that helps build a personal Career Toolkit and features weekly guest speakers. Upcoming topics include wellness/therapy, entrepreneurship, library and tech panels, medical and teaching.
This Thursday, we are welcoming Christina Freeman! Christina is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired (IESBVI), where she dedicatedly serves students, families, and schools across the Great Prairie AEA region.
Christina will be sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to work in specialized education, her daily journey traveling to support students across her region, and the training it takes to enter this incredibly rewarding field. If you’ve ever wondered about a career in teaching, accessibility, or educational support, you won’t want to miss her unique perspective!
Join us virtually or in-person this Thursday, July 16th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
