Frank and his daughter Maggie are estranged, but Frank is invited to her wedding. The wedding is at a camp with a full weekend of activities and food. The wedding is an elaborate affair because she is marrying the son of the wealthy man for which she is working. When Frank and his sister, Tammy arrive at the wedding venue, there appears to be strange things going on. They hear about a missing woman, whom her mother insists is probably buried somewhere on the property. Before they enter the gates of the camp they have to sign a nondisclosure agreement. The camp is beautiful and very accommodating. During the weekend one of wedding guests, a friend of the groom, drowns in the lake.
Frank has a hard time connecting with his daughter, and when he does, she seems too busy to talk. The groom does not seem interested in talking to Frank either. What is going on here? Frank wants to dig in and find out, but at what cost of going up against this powerful, wealthy man.

She is ahead in the polls until the general’s granddaughter is kidnapped. Allison wants to assist the Howe family and is hoping it may help her to find her daughter, Emily. There are a lot of twists and turns as Allison navigates carrying the ransom money to the drop off point.
What Happened to the Bennetts by Lisa Scottoline DB107276
The Bennett family is in the car. During a confrontation with another driver, daughter, Allison, is shot and killed. The shooter is part of a criminal organization, so the family is taken out of state and put in the witness protection program. The father of the family, Jason feels that nothing is happening, the FBI does not seem to be finding the shooter and his life is falling apart. He leaves the safe house and finds the head of the organization and confronts him to explain how his own men double crossed him. If you like thrillers with a lot of action, this is an excellent book.
