Each Friday the Instructional Materials Center Team will provide answers to questions asked by educators throughout the week in the IMC FAQ Friday post. We hope these are helpful as schools place orders for students who need accessible educational materials.
We have created a checklist to help you gather the necessary information to place your order in Athena. Please visit Ordering Materials – Iowa Library for the Blind and check out the Ordering Quick Tips for “Before you submit an order.” Be sure to download and use the Athena Checklist before submitting your order.
While you are there, take some time to review additional quick tips for searching for books, creating books, and ordering worksheets.
Please submit your requests for the fall as soon as possible, as our vendors and contractors are filling up quickly. It is important to enter pacing guides with the dates each chapter or unit is needed in class to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
