2021 “Tails and Travels with Pete” Free Program for Public Libraries

The Iowa Library for the Blind and Print Disabled would like to partner with public libraries, once again, to provide a FREE program for children pre-k to 5th grade this summer.

The program centers around early literacy skills at your library through interactive play. This unique library event will take participants on an adventure with Pete the Cat. Library friends will learn how to create tactile maps, mazes and so much more! This special traveling experience is an extraordinary opportunity that teaches all ages how to be on the move through games, orientation and exploration.

Your library will receive an activity packet including; the print/braille book Pete the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes , braille materials, online resources, help you create a 30-minute online-recorded program to share with your library patrons and that can work within your library schedule.

Activity packets and online resources will be sent out to your library June 1st.

We do have limited slots available. Register Here
