Logan served several tours in Iraq. During his time there he found a photograph of a young woman and written on the back was “Keep safe! E.” Logan posted the photo on the bulletin board hoping to find whoever had lost it. Several weeks went by and no one claimed it. He finally took it down and put it in his pocket. Logan and his good friend, Victor survived several close calls during a battle. Victor claims the photograph is lucky and it kept them safe. After they both leave the army, Victor encourages Logan to find the girl in the photo, saying it is not finished yet. Logan decides to do just that, which leads him to Beth.
