This is a great question I received last Friday. Is emphasis important for children in 3rd grade? I am not sure how to transcribe a worksheet for a 3rd-grade student. In print, it shows a list of words that show the first syllable of the word partially shown in bold. Should the bold emphasis be transcribed? After a little research, I found the answer in the BANA Guidelines for Early Educational Materials for Print-to-Braille.
