It is that time of year again! The library is gearing up for our busy season, and we need your help more than ever. Whether you are looking to contribute from the comfort of your own home or join us on-site, we have several unique opportunities to match your talents. We would love to have you be a part of our mission!
We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill the following positions:
- Studio and Home Narrators: Help us bring stories to life.
- Braille Transcribers and Proofreaders: Assist in making literature accessible.
- Audio Editors and Studio Monitors: Put your technical skills to work in our recording booths.
If you prefer a more collaborative environment with a focus on community, consider joining one of our advisory or support groups:
Friends of the Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped: Support the library’s growth and outreach.
Library Consumer Advisory Committee: Provide essential feedback to help us serve our community better.
Ready to Get Involved?
We have launched a brand-new page on our blog dedicated to both new and returning volunteers. It contains everything you need to know about these roles and how to apply.
