FAQ Friday: Searching Our Collection

Imc Information

You can search for a textbook or book in our library’s Online Catalog. You do not need a login to do this. Simply enter the ISBN without hyphens in the Search box. If you need a novel for class, you can search by title or author. If we have it in our collection, your results will populate and show the availability of the book.

You can also search for a book directly in our Athena system with your login. You will need to create an order to start this process. Enter the ISBN without hyphens or the title. If the book is currently in our library’s collection and available, there will be a plus sign on the left in the row with the book title. Select the plus sign to add the book to the order.

If you search for a book that is not in the library’s collection, you will need to select the “Make Book” option to complete your order. When we receive your order, we will also search the Louis Database, Bookshare, and NIMAC repository to check if the book is available.

The IMC Team will provide answers to the questions we have received during the week in our FAQ Friday posts.  We hope these are helpful!
