We are proud to announce that Shelly Howsare has earned her Certification as a Literary Braille Transcriber! Shelly is a retired Teacher of the Visually Impaired and working with students who were learning Braille was one of her favorite aspects of the job. She thought taking the IMC Braille Transcriber Course would be a good way to continue to contribute to the community.
When asked about her experience with the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Shelly said, “Wonderful! The support provided each step of the way was so valuable. It was supportive with technical aspects of braille and encouraging of the journey”
To any future participants of the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Shelly says “Don’t give up! It’s a long journey but the IMC provides the support to keep you moving forward.”
