We are proud to announce that Lori Baños has earned her Certification as a Literary Braille Transcriber! As a dual-certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), Lori said she didn’t always have as many opportunities to actively refine her Braille skills as she would like. She strives to provide the highest level of instruction and support to her students, and this course presented an excellent opportunity to deepen her knowledge and strengthen her proficiency in Braille.
When asked about her experience with the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Lori said, “Jerry is an outstanding instructor, and the course is well designed with excellent resources and pacing. It was both rigorous and rewarding—there were moments when I truly had to push myself, but that challenge made the accomplishment even more meaningful. I am proud of having successfully completed the course!”
To any future participants of the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Lori says “This course requires a substantial commitment of time, focus, and perseverance, but the skills and confidence you gain make the time and effort well worth it. “
Congratulations again to Lori!
