They grow up fast and every year their reading needs will change, just like their winter jackets and shoe size. To stay on top of the game, UPDATING key information, such as; reading levels, address, reading formats, genre is essential with each new school year. To make this process a little easier a checklist has been created.
Who qualifies for the Books for Kids Program? It is a program for kids birth through 18 years old to access monthly reading materials in the format that is best for them.
- If your student is NOT a library patron: Fill out our online library application. An application must be filled out in order to be a Books for Kids participant.
- If your student is a library patron: Fill out the online registration for the Books for Kids program.
IMPORTANT CHECKLIST REMINDERS
A student’s profile needs to be updated every year.
- Name
- Address [School/Home]
- Caregiver/Teacher Contact Information
- Grade level AND reading level
- Interests
- Format for books
