Athena Updates and Resources

Imc Information

The IMC Team was excited to announce that Athena, our new ordering portal for accessible educational materials, became available on Monday. We have been working this week to assist School Districts in getting logins set up and information about placing orders using the new portal. We were so excited to see our first orders come through.

Tip
Once you get your login information or you have it already, please feel free to explore Athena and “click around”.  There is nothing that you can break, or we can’t change!

Thank you to everyone for being so great in learning the new process and for your feedback.  The IMC Team has also made some changes to the IMC blog to provide current information about Athena, School District MOUs and our services/programs.

Working with the Instructional Materials Center at the Iowa Department for the Blind has been an excellent experience when placing orders for my student. Now using the Athena ordering website, the transition has gone smoothly. The Department is extremely helpful when I call with questions. The how-to video clips guide you when placing orders and are very informative. I felt prepared for this change when the program went live. Also, the quality of braille that comes back to our district is top-notch for my student. Thank you for doing such an incredible job for those who you serve across the State!
