An opportunity is coming your way, at no cost to you! The Iowa Library for the Blind, Instructional Materials Center Team will introduce 6 workshops all centered around braille. It will be incredibly informative and you will leave wanting more! We can almost call this time together, braille therapy with benefits!
The Weekly Dose of Braille Workshop will give you a taste of braille done right! The workshop contains information on exactly how to implement the Unified English Braille rules and formats used by braille transcribers and proofreaders. It is a miscellaneous mixture of tricky, sometimes challenging, circumstances that a braille transcriber may come across or question, but are neatly put into a Weekly Dose of Braille Workshop. This workshop will offer a few tools to help with your future braille endeavors. Plus, an additional bonus, our time together! This workshop will stretch your thinking and help grow your braille skills!
The Weekly Dose of Braille Workshop will have its first official workshop June 20th from 1-3:00. The class will be offered at the Department for the Blind or you can join via Zoom. You decide what works best for you and your schedule.
If you are interested, please contact Denise Bean by email denise.bean@blind.state.ia.us or call 515-281-1347 to get signed up. Limited seating is available!
All of us can benefit from one another’s braille skills and experience. We are always better when working together!
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!
