Is There A Diacritic Hyphen

The Weekly Dose of Braille is created by our Youth Services Librarian and Braille Transcriber, Denise Bean, with the help of our Instructional Materials team. It gives you a taste of braille examples that may be used in worksheets or textbook formatting.  It is a miscellaneous mixture of tricky, sometimes challenging circumstances, that a braille transcriber may come across or question.  Provided each week is a downloadable PDF file on each topic, a brf file can also be made available for your convenience.

Out with the old and in with the new.  Such an interesting question was asked this week, and it centered around glossary words shown in print. This of course, sent me on a world wind search, luckily, located an answer. This week we will touch on the subject of diacritic hyphen and what is a diacritic.

Keep in mind, the weekly dose is designed to give guidance to the questions that roll in from week to week. Continue asking your questions, you never know who else may be wanting their same questions answered.

Thank you for reading and learning together!

Denise
