This is an interesting question, and it was asked because a teacher hand wrote a grammar worksheet, and as you know, handwritten information can be hard to read. Recommended answer to this, ask the teacher for clarity, or add a transcriber note explaining the unreadability of what is shown in text. However, this question inspired a little review of print symbols in a linear diagram. — Denise Bean
