The NLS Summer Reading Program kicks off Monday, June 16!

The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled Summer Reading Program will begin Monday, June 16 and run through Friday, August 15, 2025. With activities for all ages, this summer reading program promises to be filled with inspiring guests, fun activities and magnificent book lists.

Iowa’s very own Master Gardner Roger Erpelding has a starring role with videos on gardening. Offering tips and tricks for sighted and blind gardeners alike. And the Iowa Library for the Blind and Print Disabled’s Youth Services Librarian, Denise Bean presents a wonderful video on a variety of clay and wire sculpture techniques!
