We have Summer Reading Corps members working with in the library this summer! Their mission is to take our Sensing the Cosmos program out to public libraries around Iowa to promote and introduce our library services. This also allows us to take our program to the patrons we serve and to Iowa residents who might be eligible for our services.
Sensing the Cosmos allows youth patrons to listen to various sounds of space, feel lunar craters, and touch the stars using books and other objects. Attendees will also hear a bit about Wanda Diaz Merced, an astrophysicist who just happens to be blind.
Check out our Events Page for dates and locations of our Sensing the Cosmos program.
Happy Summer Reading!
