We have started receiving orders for the 2016-2017 school year. We wanted to encourage you to get your Braille and large print orders in early, so they will be ready for the students on the first day of school. It often takes 3 to 6 months to process the book if it has to be done from scratch. If books are not sent in until June, we cannot guarantee they will be completed by the first day of school. If the book is not available in the media you request we will need a copy of the print book. If possible, please include a copy of the order with the print book. Please fill out the order form as completely as you can with title, author, ISBN etc. We need this information so we are sure to order the correct book for your student.
Please return any materials checked out from the library for the 2015-2016 school by the last day of school, so that they can be checked out for the next student. We have tried to help you out with items that need to be returned by placing a sticker on each book that says “Property of the Iowa Department for the Blind”. If the sticker says “Do not return” the items may be given to the student to take home or thrown away. Worksheets do not need to be returned.
