IMC FAQ Friday: Mailing Print Books

Imc Information

Each Friday the Instructional Materials Center Team will provide answers to questions asked by educators throughout the week in the IMC FAQ Friday post. We hope these are helpful as schools place orders for students who need accessible educational materials.

Follow these guidelines when mailing print books:

  • When print books are requested by the IMC, send the book as soon as possible so we can start the transcription process. Delays in receiving print materials will result in delays in production of these materials.
  • Download the hard copy tag and send it with the item by selecting “Print Hardcopy Tag.”  After the hardcopy tag is downloaded, select “Next.”
  • Do not use a braille paper box to send the print materials or include with any braille that is being returned. Mail books to the shipping address as shown on the hard copy tag in Athena.
  • If you only need a particular section of a book, please note this in the pacing guide when ordering the book.
  • When submitting your order for a book, do not photocopy the book and send in as worksheets. We require the full print book with the ISBN in order to produce the book.

The IMC Team will provide answers to the questions we have received during the week in our FAQ Friday posts.  We hope these are helpful!
