Each Friday the Instructional Materials Center Team will provide answers to questions asked by educators throughout the week in the IMC FAQ Friday post. We hope these are helpful as schools place orders for students who need accessible educational materials.
Braille Practice materials are available and can be ordered any time on our Athena online portal. Please choose Braille – Assessment as the book format to request these for your student. Type ISASP Practice in the title field and select Book Search. A list will populate for you. Select the grade level for your student and enter the date needed. The practice tests should be ordered at least a month before the testing window. Remember to return all braille practice tests to the Iowa Department for the Blind.
Braille Tests are ordered by the district from PearsonAccess Next: Create an Order for Materials beginning Tues. Feb. 24, 2026. Braille tests are ordered a la carte so each item needs to be ordered individually.
