We are proud to announce that Isaac Smith has earned his Certification as a Literary Braille Transcriber! Isaac said he realized that becoming a Braille Transcriber would allow him to do his job more effectively and he wanted to have more independence and confidence in relation to braille.
When asked about his experience with the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Isaac said, “Amazing! I felt entirely supported throughout the experience. There’s some hard lessons in the course and with the encouragement from my instructor I slowly managed to make it through. Shout out to Jerry, thank you!”
To any future participants of the IMC Braille Transcriber Course, Isaac says “Utilize your sources. Knowing where to look for the answers is vital. I’d recommend using labeled tabs in the workbook, creating your own proofreading checklist, and taking breaks before proofreading. “
