We started the morning with an excellent visit and discussion with author, Reid Forgrave. He is the author of Love, Zac: Small-town football and the life and death of an American boy. A true story of Zac Easter, a young man from small-town Iowa who took his own life rather than continue his losing battle against the traumatic brain injuries (CTE) he sustained playing high school football. A special thank you to Mr. Forgrave. His book is available in audio and Braille.

There were also sessions on; creating an Iowa audiobook, ideas for your reading toolbox, how a braille book goes from print to shelf and Ready, Set, Adventure! our youth summer reading program. We ended the morning with a live recording of our Library Chat podcast.

It was a great time filled with all things books and reading. Thanks to all that attended!

Watch our library blog for recordings of the sessions from the Book Festival and the live Library Chat podcast.
