The National Education Association’s Read Across America Day celebrates Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the joy of reading. More than 45 million readers, both young and old, will pick up a book and read on March 2nd.
The goal is to show America’s children the joy of reading and to build a nation of readers, not just on March 2nd, but every day. Research has shown that children who are motivated and spend more time reading do better in school.
Mark your calendars to celebrate and grab your hat and read with the Cat in the Hat on Wednesday, March 2nd.
